What's going on at the Food Bank?
Food for Fines begins at all Evansville Public Library locations
Do you have any overdue library books?
From November 17 through December 14, 2014 you can "pay"
your overdue book fees during the Food for Fines program.
Your overdue book fees will be reduced by $1 (maximum waived is $10)
for each non-perishable food item you donate.
Take your non-perishable food items to the checkout desk of any EVPL location to have your account credited.
All food items collected will be distributed to families this holiday season.
Kentucky State Police want you to Cram the Cruiser
The 5th annual "Cram the Cruiser" food drive officially begins
on November 20, 2014 and will run through mid-December.
Trooper Corey King said, "All of the donated products will go directly to our area county food pantries." "As the holidays are fast approaching, this will serve many meals for struggling families." All 16 Kentucky State Police posts will establish collection sites.
Last year's campaign collected more than 62 tons of food for Kentucky families.
For more information, contact Public Affairs Officer Corey King in Henderson at (270) 826-3312.
The Red and Black Give Back Food Drive
will begin on November 3, 2014.
Red and Black Give Back !
Food Drive will be held Nov. 3rd thru 24th
Alumni from Indiana University and Purdue University recently applied their notorious athletic rivalry to serve our local community. The group which collected the most in terms of pounds of food these past three weeks will be announced the first week of December, and the victors will receive Well Justified Bragging Rights AND an old oaken bucket.
Thank you - all IU and Purdue supporters - for working together to help those in need this holiday season!
