We are pleased with your interest in the Tri-State Food Bank and look forward to assisting your non-profit agency by providing you with the food and product necessary to accomplish your goals.
Our food bank operates on a membership basis. Each member organization partners with us towards eliminating hunger in our communities. All participating agencies must complete the attached membership application. Additionally, we need verification of your non-profit status. This is done by enclosing a copy of your LETTER OF DETERMINATION from the Internal Revenue Service. This letter will indicate your agency’s non-profit status under the 501(c)3 code. (This is not your tax exempt number). See exceptions under Agency Eligibility below.
After we receive your completed application and documentation, we will make arrangements to visit your site to monitor your program’s food and product storage facilities and to share further information regarding your membership with Tri-State Food Bank. Once the monitoring has been completed, you will be hearing from us regarding whether or not you are eligible to become an agency.
